anaphora is a literary term with dual meaning: one reflexive and one repetitive. we chose the name because we believe these concepts to be indicative of fashion.
fashion should be reflective of who you are - reflective of art, reflective of culture, reflective of the situation and purpose for which you've dressed. it's a reflection of economic health and of attitudes towards women and gender. in the words of Oscar Wilde, one's style is one's signature. we want our clothes to be a reflection of you.
and there's no question that fashion also exhibits cyclical, repetitive qualities. whether it's fresh perspectives on proven styles or borrowed inspiration applied in new forms, fashion has always been a practice in evolution.
